Finish all cross stitching, clean and press your fabric. Carefully cut around your stitching, leaving an extra 1" along the bottom two sides, and a rounded edge 2" from the top side. You can print out the berry template to use as a guide, or just measure out from the edge of your stitching and mark with chalk or marking pen. It should be roughly 1/3 of a circle shape (See Fig. 1).

Step 2
Iron interfacing onto the back side of your fabric piece (See Fig. 2).

Step 3
Fold the fabric in half from the bottom point, with the right sides together. Using a sewing machine, sew along the 3/8" seam allowance (See Fig. 3).
Step 4
Trim the seam allowance to 1/4“, clip the bottom corner, and flip right side out. You should now have a cone shape. I (very carefully) used the point of my scissors to make sure the point on the cone was fully pushed out. Fold in 3/8" along the top edge, and run a basting stitch around the edge using 2 threads and a sewing needle (See Fig. 4).

Step 5
Stuff with polyester filling. I used a chopstick to really stuff it down, and make sure it gets into the bottom point. (See Fig. 5).

Step 6
Pull your basting stitch gently, but firmly to gather the top edge as tightly as it will go. Be careful not to break your thread! When the edge is gathered as small as possible, tie off your thread with a knot in the fabric to secure it. (See Fig. 6).

Step 7
Use the leaf template to cut out 2 felt leaves, using black felt (or whatever shade you like) (See Fig. 7).

Step 8
Overlap the 2 felt pieces on the top of your berry and place a small button on the middle. Pin them in place temporarily, and we'll tack everything down in the next step (See Fig. 8).

Step 9
Using 2 strands of floss (either 3371, 310 or match your felt), sew on the button, going through both felt layers, and tack the felt leaves to the berry body. You can choose to stitch around all of the felt edges, or I tacked down each bottom leaf at the tip, and into the middle of the top leaf piece. This left the top leaves free to add some shaping (See Fig. 9).

That's it, you're finished! Enjoy your handiwork :)
