Step 1
Back your stitching with medium-weight interfacing, to give the stitching some extra strength to support the weight of the clock mechanism.
Step 2
Cut out your stitching about 1.5" larger than the hoop. (Use a 10" hoop if stitched on 14/28ct fabric)
Step 3
Insert your stitching into the hoop, ensuring it is exactly in the middle, and pull the extra fabric tight around the edges. Use 2 threads to whip stitch around the edge of your extra fabric and gather it tightly.
Step 4
Attach the clock mechanism and hands, as per the manufacturer's instructions. Make a small incision in the middle of your fabric to feed the clock through.
Step 5
Cut a piece of white felt and attach it to the back with a whip stitch, cutting an X in the felt to allow the battery pack to come through. Fold the triangles inside around the battery pack.
